Happiness of the Day
On February 6, 2010, I attended the Reading Week Kick-Off orientation and one of the speakers, Kim Schonert-Reichl, an associate professor at UBC, talked about happiness. She has worked extensively with children and have implemented methods in schools around the world to boost empathy and morality.
Anyways, she told us how adults who thought 5-10 minutes about something that made them happy every day, even small things like good weather, decreases depression, stress, and boosts overall happiness.
I have therefore decided to write one thing (or multiple things if it was a really great day) that made my day everyday until who-ever-knows-when, just so I can look it over sometime in the future if I’m down or just because I want to and there is no reason at all.
Have a happy day.
