Summer Internship: Check

3.15pm – I got turned down by the Burnaby Hospital Foundation for their Marketing and Events Internship.

3:24pm – I was offered and I accepted being the Volunteer Resources Intern with the Multiple Sclerosis Society during the summer!

My summer is pretty full now: 2 positions at psychology labs, an internship, 1-2 summer courses, trip(s) to the US, +/- a part-time job. Don’t know if I can manage all that, but at least I know I’m not going to waste my summer.

  1. Congrats!

Sounds like quite a heavy workload. Are you going to do all of those things concurrently? In summer courses, each lecture covers at least one chapter. Finding a balance can be nice, sometime.

    • Thanks!
Yeah, I do realize it’s quite a lot. My course is only 2 days a week, 3 hours each day so it’s not a lot compared to other people. Most of the things I’m doing don’t require a lot of time per week, like 5 hours for each lab, 10 hours for the internship. So we’ll see lol.

  2. Sounds like a plan.

Last summer I took two courses while working part time… didn’t quite work out. I guess if you manage to juggle your priorities then it shouldn’t be a problem.

Which labs are you going to work with?

  3. Nice job chowster! Can you include coming to Toronto in your plans =D
